The People of Burma Stand Against the U.S. imperialist war on Venezuela

Date: 2026 January 4

Around 3:00 a.m. in Venezuela time yesterday, the United States launched series of attacks targeting Venezuela’s military facilities in Caracas. Shortly after, Trump announced that the U.S. has captured the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. Regardless of the complex issues, it is clear that this violent act from the U.S. is nothing more than waging another imperialist war. We strongly condemn any country invading another or using military means to exert coercive pressure. This is an act of imperialism and fascism.

Far-right and fascist forces are growing across the world. From Venezuela to Burma, from the banks of Jordan to the banks of Ayeyarwady , all people across the world are resisting the oppression of fascist capitalists and dictators. Liberalism has always been incapable of defeating fascism and it has fail again this time. The histories of Burma and the world are proves that liberal politics is no match against fascism and militarism that unleash aggression and invasion whenever they want. The international solidarity amongst all oppressed people is the only way to uproot fascism. The ‘capture’ of the Venezuelan president by the U.S. is nothing more than an act of imperialist aggression. This clearly exposes the fascist nature of the U.S. domination across the world and poses a serious threat to genuine peace around the world. This is an open threat declaring that any country or force, not just Venezuela, that opposes U.S.’s one-sided interests will be crushed and terrorized.

We strongly condemns this blatant fascist character of U.S. imperialism. We will continue to stand alongside all oppressed people across the world to struggle against imperialism and fascism.
